Quicky doodle done last night while I waited for my cake to bake. I didn't want to get in depth on any serious work, like the commission or the book stuff, because I always get sunk deep in my art and then BAM burnt cake! And since this is like my uh... third... attempt at baking a cake this week *coughs* I didn't want to mess it up. Again. So I doodled.
Then I realized I kind of liked the doodle, and I was about to scrub clean my palette ( I do that every so often, cause it gets too messy to use), before I started working again and realized I also liked the colors that were in a rainbow spread across the thing. Sooo I splashed some paints on for fun. Wee for fun!
I'm not sure how large this is. Maybe 5" by 7"? If that? Not near a ruler.
Uh for anyone asking, kirin is a japanese unicorn. There's also half a dozen other asian versions and there's an awesome story about one of the asian rulers (I always mix up if it was japanese or chinese), going to africa and mistaking a giraffe for a kirin. That was kind of nifty.
o,O its cute! And quite shiny, I like the shininess. I have never heard of a Japanese unicorn before, that might be a point of interest to look up someday.
it actually is fairly interesting. The legends are much different then the ones for the european unicorn, so it's nifty to read. Let's see... you can look up kirin, kilin, ki' lin, Qi'lin, there's a fewo ther spellings but those are the only ones I can remember offhand. Aaaand I'll reply to your note a little bit later. The payment method is totally fine, I'm just distracted >.> So lemme reply when I'm not gonna confuse us both.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Please FULL VIEW all these amazing pieces of ART. Visit the artists pages and give them a :+fav and your support. Thank you for taking the time........
