Someday the survival of the species will depend upon the most... unorthadox... of rescues.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A word here. This is *not* a quick and dirty commission. This one was done for It came out so well, that the lovely lady was gracious enough to agree to me making prints of it (I usually don't do prints of commissions). The pretty white haired elf that I decided to turn into a merman for no particular reason is © to Arwen, of course.
This was done in colored pencils on cardstock that had been painted to be two toned. And because someone asked, here's a list of the colors I used:
I used prismacolor pencils. The colors I used were:
White
Beige
Light Peach
Peach
Seinna Brown
Dark Umber
Cool Grey 70%
Cloud Blue
Blue Slate
Blue Violet Lake
Periwinkle
Imperial Violet
Ultramarine
Violet Blue
Indigo Blue
Black Grape
Black
ooo he's so graceful and swirly..and I love those bubbles. There's just something interesting about transporting something from 'another world' and trying to keep it hidden in a place where you know it can't possibly survive. *jumps in and goes after the bubbles*
Why can't elves have merfolk just as humans do? Strangely enough, the first thing i thought was "Now that's an interesting way to keep butterflies from dying out." i read a story once about someone creating a huge bubble underwater to save humanity. This reminded me of that. Excellent job :) i love it.
